Satisfy your need to create even if your work is bland

Do you feel like you were created to create?

Do you have a burning desire to express yourself through writing, drawing, music or something else?

How do you go about satisfying this urge? Where do you start when all you see before you is flipping the next burger, adding the next line or filing the next piece of paper? How do you go about satisfying this urge even when your day is as bland as a can of frozen vegetables?

You can do it, but it takes positive intention. Here are three simple things you can do today to take back control of your passion for creation.

Vary your tasks

Really. Snap yourself out of your routine. If you normally flip with your right hand, switch it up and flip with your left. Stop doing your tasks the way you’ve always done them. Adding variety will spark new ideas and open those neural pathways to some fresh thinking.

Take advantage of thoughts and make incremental adjustments to your work. You will start feeling creative in no time.

Invite others to work with you

Talk about what you are doing. Open your thoughts to those that are close by. Start up a conversation. Reignite your curiosity for what it is that you do. Be…
