Introversion is not a flaw, but sometimes it feels like one

We introverts can be wonderful people. But at the same time, we can feel like there are things about us that just don’t click with the rest of the world.

It’s not our fault, but that doesn’t change how we feel.

We’re not doing it on purpose, but sometimes we just need more time to open up and let you see who we really are.

We’re big fans of having other people help us see ourselves, and in order to do that, we have to open up to them.

But first…

Just give me some space, ok?

I’m an introvert.

I like to be quiet and am more comfortable with a smaller group of people than a big crowd.

I like to think more about things than talk about things.

Unlike extroverts, I enjoy my own company.

I think an introvert is different than being shy. It’s a preference for environments that allow them me think deeply and create without interruption.

Too much stimulation and I get worn down.

I just need a little space.

Introversion is not a flaw — But sometimes it can feel like one.
